4.0

Do you live in Singapore, while not understanding a word of Mandarin? Do you wonder what your colleagues are talking about when they speak Mandarin among each other? Or would you like to feel more at home in by being able to break the ice with some Mandarin words?

This Mandarin course can get you there. While every beginning is difficult, by taking regular lessons, you will start to pick up pieces of conversation fast, and before you know, you will be ordering your food in Chinese! Can you imagine how people around you will appreciate you for this? And imagine being able to travel to China comfortably, without being at the mercy of guides and interpreters.

This course is geared to get you talking in Mandarin in everyday situations. To make it easy for you, we will start by introducing Chinese pronunciation through Hanyu Pinyin (Chinese in Western script) and only when you are comfortable with that, will you start to learn reading and writing Chinese characters.

Of course, finding time in your daily schedule for learning Mandarin is always a challenge, so we are offering a variety of schedules for this course. You can choose to take lessons on two weekday evenings (2 x 1.5 hours each) or on Saturday (3 hours with a short break). We also teach this course in two locations: Jurong East and Bishan, so you can pick the one with the shortest travel time.

At the end of the course, when you have spent 2 months learning Mandarin, there is an exam and we will issue you a certificate to prove that you passed the course. The cost for this, as well as for materials and administration is already included in the total price of S$ 449.40.

We have a total of 6 levels for this conversational Mandarin course, from beginner to advanced, as well as Mandarin writing and business Mandarin courses. So don't worry, however far you want to pursue your Mandarin learning, you'll find a home with us!

Very efficient course - small group of 4 students and a friendly, talkative teacher. Sometimes I had to look for materials on my own, particularly to learn the pronunciation. Nevertheless, very good solution for everyone who want to learn Chinese from the very beginning and do not have a lot of time because of work - classes start conveniently at 7 pm. I am seriously considering to continue learning!

Learning new language is as difficult as learning how to drive. If you learn by yourself, you might end up learning wrong things or using new words the wrong way. That’s why I took a part-time Mandarin class at this school. It was a good choice for me considering my work schedule and location. The school is very accessible. The teacher is well prepared and on time. The materials such as books, extra lessons, audio exercises and real-life applications are very helpful. And the classes are always exciting and nerve-racking especially on the conversational excersises. But it’s all worth it. Actually, I have no reason to learn a new language. But for me gaining new language is grasping another's culture. So enjoy! P.S. Do you want me to translate this to Mandarin? ^^

Ok, Spring International is a good School, taught by knowledgeable Chinese tutors. It does however feel unstructured at times as the classes can be small. What i mean by this is that they try to teach you at your own pace... and I feel I'm often left to motivate myself to learn half the time... But it's good in the fact you have more one on one with your tutor... and they have more options for time of week to study etc.. just keep in mind that the classes are really small... once I was the only one who turned up... Think of it more like hiring a private tutor.
